Conducting research and/or collaborating with Chadwick Arboretum

Partnering with Chadwick Arboretum on your
 Research, Projects, or Ideas

Hort Therapy

Every year, Chadwick Arboretum receives numerous project and idea requests by faculty, staff, students, organizations, and community members. The results of just some of these requests can be found here under our "research" tab.

Partnering and collaborating with Chadwick is one of the reasons our 62 acres exists! Whether you need land to conduct a study for a project, open space for an event, or even have an idea that isn't fully fleshed out yet, we are happy to help. Chadwick's mission is to "honor our Land-Grant tradition by providing extensive and diverse plant collections for education, research, and enjoyment."

To get the conversation started, we have created a "Collaboration Interest Form" which we encourage you to submit. A staff member will follow up with you and your project or idea will be given full consideration.

Keep in mind, due to Chadwick Arboretum's limited staff and resources, projects that are most likely to be approved will need minimal staff oversight and resources, fit within the mission of the university and Chadwick Arboretum, maintain the aethetics of our public garden, and include an opportunity for community engagment. Some examples of community engagement would be an informational sign that explains your project, offering a publicly-accessible presentation or webinar, or creating a video for sharing on our website.
