Valuable references are available online from The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences to help with gardening questions and or to share discussions about current horticultural topics. Some of these references are listed here with links to their websites or phone numbers.

  • Ask a Master Gardener – provides answers to the public's questions about gardening using science-based information.
  • OhioLINE  – provides access to the hundreds of factsheets, bulletins and other educational materials covering a wide array of subjects such as agriculture, natural resources, family and consumer sciences, community development, 4-H, and youth.
  • Buckeye Yard and Garden Line (BYGL) – provides timely information about Ohio growing conditions, pest, disease, and cultural problems. Updated weekly between April and October, this information is useful for those who are managing a commercial nursery, garden center, or landscape business or someone who just wants to keep their yard looking good all summer.  It is developed from a Tuesday morning conference call of Extension Educators, Specialists, and other contributors in Ohio.
