Whimsical Gardens
Every few years, students create a whimsical garden somewhere in Chadwick Arboretum. These are just two of the whimsical gardens from prior years. Be sure to look around when visiting our gardens. You never know what temporary displays have been created by staff, students, and/or volunteers.
MFA Art Student Installation
OSU art student, Jon Capps is completing his second year Master of Fine Arts project. He installed a floating bathtub filled with his hand-blown, glass bubbles that overflows the tub into our Arboretum North research lake. It is titled Bath Time and pays homage to that special time each evening when he connects with his toddler son during bath time. The Capps live in nearby graduate housing and found magic at the site as their son was learning to walk. The installation will be there for a couple of months along with other MFA installations throughout the campus. Visit The Instant Now website to see other installations.
