Master Gardener, Hort Therapy and Student Organizations Featured Plants

April 6, 2016

This is the second installment in a series of articles highlighting plants that will be available for the 2016 Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens Spring Plant Sale. This article highlights Pi Alpha Xi (Horticulture and Floriculture Honor Society), Crops and Soil Science Club, PPGASA Plant Pathology Graduate Student Association, Cultivar Trial Gardens Team, Franklin County Master Gardeners and the Horticulture Therapy program.

Horticulture Therapy:

The Horticultural Therapy group will be selling pots painted by participants, staff, volunteers and students. The Horticultural Therapy program is not funded by the university and their sales from the plant sale sustain the program that helps the developmentally disabled. You can find out more about the program by clicking this link which will redirect you to the Horticultural Therapy Garden page. The painted pots will be sold empty and some will be sold with Plectranthus, scented Geraniums, and Coleus. This is a great opportunity to support the developmentally disabled community while making your garden beautiful!
