Have you watched our volunteer info session and ready to jump in? We are so excited to meet you. 

Volunteers must be:

  • At least 18 years old, unless attending with their caregiver.
  • Willing to complete a fingerprint background check at your own expense (about $37.00 but varies based on the individual), if you are not affilitated with Ohio State University as a current Master Gardener Volunteer, student, faculty or staff member. 
  • Willing to attend a 20-minute "meet and greet" and tour with a member of the Chadwick staff or volunteer community. 
  • Interested and excited to learn, to share your passions and expertise, to build community, and to help Chadwick Arboretum become a model public garden.

Please note: A criminal record will be considered as it relates to specifics of the volunteer position for which you are applying. A criminal record may prevent an individual from volunteering, depending on the nature of the offense.
List non-family members who have knowledge of your skills, abilities, and qualifications. Individuals should have worked with you on projects and activities and/or have direct experience with or knowledge of your qualifications.
