FULL: HYPERTUFA CONTAINER WORKSHOP

In this 2-part workshop, Allen Fabian, Chadwick Arboretum Volunteer, will teach you how to create beautiful hypertufa containers.  A planted trough can be a garden unto itself, highlighting a variety of textures, colors and heights. Each class participant should be able to make two containers from materials supplied.

Session One takes place on Monday, September 12 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Participants will learn about the history of hypertua, mix the ingredients, build a container, and learn how to release a finished container from its mold, with one on one instruction.

Session Two takes place on Tuesday, September 13 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Participants will remove pots from mold and add texture.

Hypertufa is perfect for Ohio weather year round, durable and long-lasting art in your garden. By the time you have ended the class, you will be able to teach the class yourself! All materials, gloves and handouts provided. Please come dressed in your garden clothes.

$40 Chadwick members/$45 non-members, includes both sessions, all materials, two containers, and a handout.
