Creating Hypertufa Containers: a 2-Day Workshop (Cancelled)

HYPERTUFA CONTAINER WORKSHOP
In this 2-day workshop, Chadwick Arboretum Volunteer Allen Fabian will teach you how to create beautiful hypertufa containers. A planted trough can be a garden unto itself, highlighting a variety of textures, colors and heights. Each class participant should be able to make two containers from materials supplied. All materials, gloves and handouts provided. Please come dressed in your garden clothes.
- Session One takes place on Tuesday, September 23, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Participants will learn about the history of hypertufa, mix the ingredients, build a container, and learn how to release a finished container from its mold, with one-on-one instruction.
- Session Two takes place on Wednesday, September 24, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Participants will remove pots from mold and add texture.

Cost: $45 Chadwick members/$50 non-members. Includes both sessions, all materials, two containers, and a handout.

Location: This workshop will take place in the Chadwick Arboretum barn, which is located right behind the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center.
