HYPERTUFA CONTAINER WORKSHOP
In this 2-day workshop, Chadwick Arboretum Volunteer Allen Fabian will teach you how to create beautiful hypertufa containers. A planted trough can be a garden unto itself, highlighting a variety of textures, colors and heights. Each class participant should be able to make two containers from materials supplied.
Session One takes place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Participants will learn about the history of hypertufa, mix the ingredients, build a container, and learn how to release a finished container from its mold, with one-on-one instruction.
Session Two takes place on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Participants will remove pots from mold and add texture.
Hypertufa is perfect for Ohio weather year round, durable and long-lasting art in your garden. By the time you have ended the class, you will be able to teach the class yourself! All materials, gloves and handouts provided. Please come dressed in your garden clothes.
$40 Chadwick members/$45 non-members, includes both sessions, all materials, two containers, and a handout.
