Arbor Day Celebration 2024

“To be without trees would, in the most literal way, to be without our roots.” Richard Mabey
Join us at The Ohio State University's Kottman Hall Patio for our annual Arbor Day Celebration!
Since 1984, this celebration has been a time for all to come together to celebrate newly planted trees across campus and recognize this year's Tree Hero Award, Chadwick Arboretum Collaborator Awards, and the Aesculus Lifetime Achievement Award. Be inspired by insightful remarks on the significance of trees, and don't miss the chance to enjoy in delicious cake and coffee refreshments as we come together to celebrate a thriving tree canopy on our campus. Rain or shine, your presence is valued in supporting our mission for a greener future.
This event, organized by Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens in collaboration with the Ohio State University Tree Advisory Committee, promises a morning filled with educational insights and community camaraderie. Join Dr. Laura Deeter, Director of Chadwick Arboretum, and fellow tree enthusiasts as we reaffirm our commitment to the Tree Campus Higher Education Certification. Together, let's cultivate a culture of environmental responsibility and appreciation for the natural world.
This event is free and open to the public.
