Don’t miss the Chadwick Arboretum Open House. Bring your family and friends. It’s the best nature immersion of the summer!

This event includes:

  • Entertainment by "Sock Hop Soda" - old fashioned entertainment with 50's music and hoola hoops
  • “Friend’s of Chadwick” membership and information
  • Refreshing root beer floats for the first 300 guests
  • Complimentary “common milkweed” plants (while supplies last)
  • Franklin County “Ask A Master Gardener Booth”
  • The OSU Bee Lab, Denise Ellsworth, native bee i.d. and resources
  • “Nancy’s Treasures” tree pruning demo and tool sales
  • Tour of the Solar enCORE House and learn energy saving tips
  • Darlene Sillick, Eastern Bluebird nesting boxes & habitat education
  • Entomologist George Keeney with his curious collection of very usual insects
  • Stella Barnes and the Chadwick Arboretum Student Team will provide information on how to install Rain Gardens
  • Catch & Release Fishing and education about fishing lead-free
  • Goldfinch Research and education
  • Monarch Butterfly and Pollinator Education
  • Canoes will be available during the event for use on our Research Lake
The Arboretum North site is located northwest of the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center at 2201 Fred Taylor Drive, Columbus, OH 43210.
Parking is available across Fred Taylor Drive in Gray Lot #3.
