Events

Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens host a variety of university, community, and industry events in our gardens. Many are open to the public while others are reserved for members of specific organizations.  Our calendar of events includes all events, while highlighting those that are open to the public. We hope you will join us for one of these events soon.      

  1. Creating Hypertufa Containers: a 2-Day Workshop

    HYPERTUFA CONTAINER WORKSHOP In this 2-day workshop, Chadwick Arboretum Volunteer Allen Fabian will teach you how to create beautiful hypertufa containers.  A planted trough can be a garden unto itself, highlighting a variety of textures, colors and heights. Each class participant should be able to make two containers from materials supplied.

  3. 2025 Spring Plant Sale & Auction Fundraiser Kickoff Meeting

    2025 Spring Plant Sale & Auction Fundraiser Join the Plant Sale Leadership Teams as we kickoff planning for the 2025 Spring Plant Sale and Auction Fundraiser! During this meeting, volunteers interested in taking on a leadership role for the Fundraiser will learn about this special event, the different roles that are open, and meet the committees. Snacks provided.

  4. Volunteers planting a tree during past ArboBlitz event.

    ArboBlitz 2024

    Help create a legacy at The Ohio State University by planting 20 trees on campus in collaboration with The Ohio State University’s Facilities, Operations, and Development team and Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens. You do not need to know how to plant trees to participate - we will teach you! Bring a water, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing that can get a little dirty - this event is rain or shine!
