Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens host a variety of university, community, and industry events in our gardens. Many are open to the public while others are reserved for members of specific organizations.  Our calendar of events includes all events, while highlighting those that are open to the public. We hope you will join us for one of these events soon.

    Interested in learning about volunteering at Chadwick Arboretum?  Whether you are an OSU Alumni, a Master Gardener Volunteer, a student, or a community member, volunteering at Chadwick Arboretum is an incredible way to give back in the way that you enjoy the most. Volunteers help in the garden, plan and execute outreach and community events, lead tours, and so much more.

  3. Browsing Annual Cultivar trials

    OSU Cultivar Trials Showcase Our Cultivar Trials Garden offers the opportunity to evaluate the performance of ornamental cultivars in typical Central-Ohio conditions. Don’t miss this brilliant showcase of this season's 115 cultivars on display while mingling with other Green Industry professionals from the Cultivate'24 conference. Enjoy our gardens at their peak of the summer season! This event is free and open to the public. 

  4. Bonsai Society Postcard

    Jul 20, 2024, 10:00am - 5:00pm

    Join the Columbus Bonsai Society as they bring their annual Bonsai Show to Chadwick Arboretum this year! This 2-day event, held in the Agriculture Administration Building auditorium, features local and midwest vendors with bonsai trees, live demos, workshops, and more. If you weren't a bonsai enthusiast yet, be prepared to become one!  Hourly parking passes can be obtained by nearby parking kiosks in all surrounding parking lots, or by using the ParkMobile app. 

  5. Jul 21, 2024, 9:00am - 5:00pm

    Join the Columbus Bonsai Society as they bring their annual Bonsai Show to Chadwick Arboretum this year!
