Chadwick Arboretum invites you to celebrate Arbor Day 2023 with us during our annual Arbor Day Awards Ceremony.
Since 1984, Chadwick Arboretum has hosted the annual Arbor Day observances at The Ohio State University. The Arbor Day celebration features the dedication of newly planted trees and award presentations including the Tree Hero Award, Collaborator's Awards, and Aesculus Lifetime Achievement Awards. This ceremony also serves as a time to renew Ohio State University's comittment to the Tree Campus Higher Education Certification.
This event takes place rain or shine under the Kottman Hall Patio. Convenient parking for $2.50/hour is located at the Plumb Hall Parking Lot, next to Plumb Hall.

10:00 a.m.: Welcome and Opening Remarks with Dewey Mann, Interim Director of Chadwick Arboretum
10:10 a.m. - 10: 30 a.m.: Tree Campus Higher Education Certification presentation, Dedication of Trees newly planted on campus, and Award Presentations
10:30 - 10:50 a.m.: Tree-riffic Remarks with Jim Chatfield, Horticulture Educator and Professor Emeritus from OSU Extension.
10:50 a.m.: Enjoy cake and coffee refreshments
This event is a collaboration between Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens and the Ohio State University Tree Advisory Committee. Thank you for attending and helping us celebrate a growing tree canopy on Ohio State University's campus.
