Chadwick Arboretum offers an immersive, full-time summer internship experience. Our students gain a variety of hands on skills and experiences, including plant maintenance,equipment operation, landscaping skills, and participation in educational and outreach events. Interns will also get the chance to tour public gardens across central Ohio and engage in other professional development activities, and cap off the summer with the completion of a project to be integrated into the arboretum. We look for students who have a strong interest in learning about plants, horticulture, and public gardens, enjoy working outdoors, and have strong teamwork capabilities.

- April/May - August 1, 2026
- Must be available to work May 14 - 16.
- Full-time: 8:00AM - 4:00PM, flexible
- Pay is determined by a scale related to rank and time spent in university jobs.
- Potential hourly scholarship match (Mayhew Scholarship) available to eligible students. Criteria include, but not limited to:
- Enrolled in a CFAES major
- Other funding sources do not exceed university limit
- Example: If your tuition is fully covered by scholarships, you are not eligible to receive the Mayhew Scholarship.
