One hundred trees native to Ohio, woodland paths, naturalized benches and informational plaques welcome visitors in this grove honoring Donald Mayhew and his passion for trees. Mayhew was a former OSU student who was killed in WWII. The grove supports hands-on student learning and student research projects. The Donald D. Mayhew Memorial Fellowship Endowment supports student field experiences within the Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens. The Donald Mayhew Grove, dedicated Arbor Day 1999, will be relocated within the site as the proposed Ohio 4-H Building construction begins in 2006.
